Our primary aim is to create a thriving twenty-first
century city in West Africa starting with the
reclamation of around nine square kilometres of
development land from the sea.
Eko Atlantic will draw wide-scale residential,
commercial, financial and tourist development to ease
the burden on exhausted infrastructure and
overpopulation in adjacent Victoria Island, now the
commercial centre of Lagos.
A richly designed master plan for Eko Atlantic combines
an impressive blend of aesthetic beauty and seamless
practicality to develop seven diverse areas within the
project area. They will share the same high standards of
urban planning, infrastructure and architectural
excellence.
The Financial District with towering skyscrapers will
attract multinational companies, especially in the oil
and gas industries. It will become home to many of
Africa’s banks, financial institutions and business
leaders.
The new city will feature tree-lined boulevards,
waterways, manicured gardens, elegant plazas, three
marinas and a stunning ocean front promenade. A city in
which to live and work.
From the outset our vision has been to help Lagos
transform itself into a successful mega city-state of 25
million people by the year 2015. Our evolving design
plans have already provided an effective marine
engineering solution to stop further land erosion along
Bar Beach in Victoria Island. This is where newly
reclaimed land has begun to emerge: land you can buy.
Imagine a city with its own independent service island
to supply round-the-clock electricity, clean water and
sewage distribution.
Imagine a safe city where there are no street vendors,
no noisy motorcycles and no traffic chaos.
Imagine Eko Atlantic.
